The Lance name enters the ruler trade. The earliest chapter of the record belongs here — in the brand's own artifacts, not in retelling.

Straight edges, T-squares, L-squares, curves, triangles, specialists, and orientation-engraved black rules. How each instrument entered the line is part of the record still being assembled.
Today Lance Rulers operates as a Merrow company — supported and fulfilled from Merrow's Fall River, Massachusetts campus. Merrow was established in 1838; Lance instruments are designed in the USA and made in Korea.
Twenty-five years in, the range is twenty-five instruments across seven families — one exact system, from a 6″ pocket rule to the 144″ long rule.
The instruments stay exact. The world around them grows — the people who teach, create, engineer, and make, and the people who support, equip, recognize, and join them.
