Two geometries, different drawing lines
30° / 60° / 90°
Use the 30° or 60° relationship for inclined construction and isometric-axis directions. Register the appropriate reference edge against a straight guide; rotate the triangle to present the angle your line requires.
Use either equal 45° angle for diagonal and square-layout constructions, and the 90° corner for perpendiculars. Add a 30°/60°/90° triangle only if the work calls for those different angles.

A T-square establishes the board-edge reference. A triangle rests against its blade to guide perpendiculars and the triangle’s stated angles. Add the second geometry only if your drawing calls for it.
