PRODUCT GUIDE

Choose and use this instrument with confidence.

Register a perpendicular drafting edge with a stainless-steel blade.

This Lance T-square combines a straight stainless-steel blade with a fixed black head that registers against the edge of the work surface. Choose among six blade lengths for board drafting, layout, and squaring tasks.

Choose the right configuration

Choose the blade length that spans the working area without repositioning the T-square. Available lengths run from 18 to 48 inches. Available configurations: 18", 24", 30", 36", 42", 48".

Product details

Care, warranty, and returns

Store flat or fully supported so the measuring body, square head, or curve is not bent or twisted. Wipe with a soft dry cloth after use; if a lightly damp cloth is needed, dry the instrument immediately. Lance instruments include a 30-day warranty. Returns are accepted within 30 days when the product is unused.

Register the head. Draw along the blade.

Schematic T-square: head rests against the left board edge; blade guides a horizontal line perpendicular to that edge Straight board edge Draw along the blade Keep the head in contact Support the blade and drawing surface

Original schematic. Not a measured product photograph, dimensional specification or certification of squareness.

Use the board edge as the reference

  1. Check that the board edge is straight and the drawing is secured. A bowed or damaged edge is not a reliable reference.
  2. Hold the T-square head against that edge with the blade resting on the work surface. Keep the same registration as you move it.
  3. Draw in pencil or pen along the blade. A triangle can rest against the blade to guide its own stated angles; keep both contact edges seated.
  4. Choose blade length to cover the required drawing span from the board edge without unsupported overhang. A longer blade does not correct an unsuitable board edge.

Need two measured pattern axes without a board-edge reference? An L-square is a different alternative, not the method shown here.

Check the selected length, documented blade/head dimensions, availability, price and shipping at the purchase controls. These tools are not presented as knife/rotary-cutter guides.

Suitable for / not documented for

Suitable for

  • Perpendicular drafting
  • Layout
  • Squaring

A T-square registers its head against a straight board edge to guide a perpendicular line. For two measured pattern axes without a board-edge registration, compare an L-square.

Not documented for

  • Tolerance-critical inspection: Accuracy and tolerance are not yet documented for this product family and size.
  • Knife or rotary-cutter guide: No cutting-safe edge specification is documented.

Use these guides for pencil/pen marking. Do not run a knife or rotary blade against a calibrated edge without confirmation that the selected SKU is designed for that use. Slip-resistant backing alone does not establish blade compatibility.
