About this ruler
Register the T-square head against a straight board edge to draw perpendicular lines.
Register the head. Draw along the blade.

Use the board edge as the reference
- Check that the board edge is straight and the drawing is secured. Use an undamaged edge.
- Hold the T-square head against that edge with the blade resting on the work surface. Keep the same registration as you move it.
- Draw in pencil or pen along the blade. A triangle can rest against the blade to guide its own stated angles; keep both contact edges seated.
- Choose blade length to cover the required drawing span from the board edge without unsupported overhang. Use a straight, undamaged board edge.
Need two measured pattern axes without a board-edge reference? An L-square is a different alternative.
Check the blade length and head dimensions for your drawing board.
Care and safe use
Use a supported work surface for measuring and marking. Before using a knife or rotary cutter against an edge, confirm the selected ruler is suitable for the blade.
For tolerance-critical work, ask Lance for an accuracy specification.
